研究会主旨
The international workshop on “Computational approaches to nuclear many-body problems and related quantum systems” will be held at RIKEN from February 12 to 16, 2013, sponsored by the Joint Institute for Computational Fundamental Science (JICFuS) and Strategic Programs for Innovative Research (SPIRE) Field 5.

In this workshop, we discuss physics and computational approaches to quantum many-body systems, including nuclei, atoms, molecules, and solids.
Major focuses are on the density functional method and quantum Monte Carlo method. During the workshop, we have two seminar talks in the morning by selected participants. Free discussion among participants is encouraged in the afternoon, however, some informal sessions may be arranged in voluntary basis. This will stimulate the exchanges of knowledge and expertise among the participants, and may lead to the future collaboration.

We welcome participants who are interested in these subjects.
A desk should be allocated in Main Res. Bldg. (mostly in Room 132) for each participant. However, if the number exceeds the limit, we may ask some participants to share a desk. To count the number, please contact Yasuro Funaki (funaki [at] riken.jp) in advance.

Workshop Site
The seminars in the morning are planned to be held in Room 213 in Main Research Bldg., RIKEN Wako Campus. However, since the capacity is rather limited, it may be changed to another place, according to the number of participants.
The room for informal sessions will be announced everyday.

Access information
Access to Main Res. Bldg. can be found in
