Physics of Core-Collapse Supernovae and Compact Star Formations

Aim of Workshop

The aim of this workshop is to gather the latest knowledge on both macro- and microphysics
of relevance for core-collapse supernova explosions and ensuing compact-star formations.
It has been already some time since spatially 3-dimensional supernova simulations became
feasible and these days numerical schemes are getting more sophisticated and microphysics
incorporated in simulations are being scrutinized. In the wake of the first detection of
a neutron star merger via gravitational waves, on the other hand, interest in the equation
of state of hot and dense hadronic matter is very high. In this workshop we invite leading
researchers on the topics listed below and discuss the latest issues in a broad context of
compact-star formations.


EOS of hot and dense hadronic matter relevant for core-collapse supernovae and proto neutron stars
Supernova simulations with multi-dimensional neutrino transport
Weak interactions and neutrino emissions in core-collapse supernovae and proto neutron star cooling
Neutrino oscillations in core-collapse supernova cores and proto neutron stars
Neutron star mergers: gravitational waves, EOS and nucleosynthesis
