CALL FOR PARTICIPATION

RIKEN Advanced Institute for Computational Science (AICS) was started July 2010 to promote the research and development for high-performance computing in Japan, and to run the “K computer”,a 10-peta-flops supercomputer. The general use of K computer has started in September 2012. This research and development should not only be achieved by Japan but also with various international collaborations. The 3rd AICS International Symposium will be held to explore such international collaborations.
Until this April AICS has been have eight research teams to cover the wide range of high-performance computing areas, computer architecture, system software, parallel programing language, quantum physics, quantum materials, computational chemistry, computational biochemistry, and climate modeling. Since this April additional eight research teams have been initiated: their research subjects are large-scale matrix solve, HPC usability, HPC programming, particle simulator, advanced visualization, complex phenomena, Discrete Event Simulation, Data Assimilation.
The sessions in the symposium cover the new research fields. Many researchers are invited from domestic and abroad including AICS researchers. Each of them is full of knowledge, experiments, and insights in his field. If you are interested in this symposium, we welcome you to join and enjoy the symposium.
